AXS is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will work across multiple areas of accounting, including ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.), control and reconciliation of accounts (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.), and the preparation of accounting reports and schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and external audiences (compliance reporting), including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, and budget reporting. What Will You Do? Responsible for monthly accounting entries in the general ledger and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Prepare reclassifications/adjustment journal entries to resolve variances in balance sheet reconciliations and reclass journal entries from balance sheet to P&L as revenues are earned and expenses are incurred. Prepare accrual journal entries when actuals have not been posted for the month-end close. Prepare necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Participate in the implementation of new accounting software and systems. What Will You Bring? BA/BS Degree in Accounting or related field. 4–6 years of accounting or related field experience. Strong foundation of accounting concepts and understanding of GAAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook; strong Microsoft Excel skills, specifically working with pivot tables and sumif formulas. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish the goals of the accounting department. Strong time management and interpersonal skills. Pay Scale:
