Akkodis is seeking a
Business Analyst
for a
Contract
with a client in
New York, NY (Hybrid) . Candidates must have strong capital markets experience and hands‑on expertise in writing user stories, functional requirements, and coordinating across teams using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Rate Range $49/hour to $56/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for trade surveillance and regulatory reporting.
Coordinate with stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and managers to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Write user stories and create UML diagrams, source‑to‑target mappings, and other technical documentation.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives in a Scrum Master capacity.
Perform data analysis using SQL and support trade‑related systems including front office and CAT reporting tools.
Use Jira and Agile methodologies to manage tasks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
6–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with exposure to capital markets and trade surveillance.
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments, including writing user stories and leading scrum ceremonies.
Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and creating UML diagrams and source‑to‑target documentation.
