Role description Arcadis is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our North America Places Group. This remote position requires the employee to be located within the Houston, Texas area for regular client site visits.
For this project, we will be using LiDAR equipment to scan the site at the client's location. LiDAR scanning will occur during evening hours (4 p.m. to 12 a.m.) for four weeknight evenings and then on the fifth workday for regular daytime hours. LiDAR training will be provided.
Role accountabilities
Develop BIM strategy and oversee all BIM work on select projects, ensuring BIM quality across projects.
Develop and supervise project staff and processes related to implementing BIM for project controls.
Coordinate processes for complete model life cycle development and functionality (3D, 4D, 5D).
LiDAR scan the project site for two weeks with advance notice; scanning occurs four weeknight evenings per week (4 p.m.–12 a.m.) and the fifth day regular daytime hours.
Review and validate construction models, including 4D/5D contractor model submittals.
Assist project teams by formatting information from virtual models for presentations and reporting construction progress.
Provide technical advice and coaching to team members to support project delivery and guide BIM implementation.
Provide technical BIM leadership at the project level, continuously improving models and processes.
Develop, review, approve, and maintain BIM documentation guidelines and quality control procedures.
Liaise with Country BIM leads to ensure alignment with global standards and best practices.
Review project progress, compliance, and clash detection reports from platforms such as BIM360 or the Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Contribute to engineering budget estimates, schedule, and oversee technical resources for large and complex projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience working with BIM environments and applications.
Minimum 3+ years managing the integration of BIM in a multi-disciplinary environment and leading a team of more than 5 BIM modelers.
Strong technical skills with common data environment platforms (Autodesk BIM360, ACC, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Dynamo, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, 3Ds Max, SketchUp) and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills with internal and external presentation experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer‑Aided Design, Information Management, IT, or equivalent work experience.
