Competitive Pay – pay based on experience and education, minimum starting rate $23.31 per hour
2nd & 3rd Shift Premium of $2.00 per hour
Merit increases at 6 months, 12 months, and then annually

Responsibilities
Summary Of Job Description: Work as an Automotive Finish Technician/Painter to prepare surfaces of truck parts for painting. Operate hand and power tools/equipment for metal finishing to prep, repair, and clean parts for painting. May perform painting on truck parts if directed. Apply primer to truck parts/equipment. Inspect and assist with fixing equipment and tools. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Communicate with co-workers to maintain safety; follow instructions; metal finish, sand, grind, and tape surfaces; mix, apply, and remove body filler to uneven surfaces; understand parts, equipment, and tools used for paint prepping; inspect for defects; use computer to locate/read truck prints; record inventory; lift and move parts; transport parts; use hand and power tools for prep; caulking, taping, grinding welds, buffing; rotate between painting, sanding, and taping as directed; review check sheets and notes.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications To Complete Essential Functions : Proficient at reading checklists, paint codes, safety logs and JSA\'s
Preferred Qualifications To Complete Essential Functions
High School Diploma or its equivalent
Three (3) or more years of experience in industrial painting or an evaluated equivalent
Ability to start training to perform touch-up work
Ability to cross-train

Climb on portable steps/ladders and trucks safely
Individually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
Stand for long periods and operate with occasional awkward positions
Have good hand-eye coordination
Use both hands for tool operation and lifting of parts
Identify different parts and equipment
Operate and access heavy equipment safely and effectively
