Database Development About the Role We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead Database Development with 8+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with the ability to design scalable database solutions, optimize performance, and guide a team through complex migration and integration projects. This role requires a balance of strong technical expertise, leadership acumen, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across global projects. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and secure database architectures. Review and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes to ensure peak performance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the database engineering team. Architect, plan, and execute data migration initiatives (including transitions from SSIS/Informatica). Reverse-engineer and optimize existing SSIS packages and data pipelines. Implement and oversee data models (e.g., OMOP, PCORnet) ensuring compliance and efficiency. Manage database administration tasks including configuration, patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning. Utilize cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.) for deployment and scaling. Collaborate with application, DevOps, and analytics teams to align database strategies with business objectives. Establish and enforce best practices in database coding standards, version control, and documentation. Automate recurring data and reporting workflows to improve efficiency. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of professional experience in database design, development, and administration. Deep expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL, with hands-on experience in MySQL. Strong command of SQL scripting, query optimization, and database tuning. Proven experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Experience leading small to mid-sized technical teams or database projects. Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and Databricks/Data Lakehouse environments is an advantage. Familiarity with healthcare data standards and data model frameworks is a plus. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with international clients (USA/Europe) preferred.
