Senior Cloud Data Engineer

for a

Contract

with a client in

Quincy, MA (Hybrid) . The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud-based data pipelines using AWS and Snowflake. Rate Range:

$70/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud-based data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, and Informatica (IICS) to support centralized and decentralized data architectures. Lead re-platforming of legacy systems (e.g., SAS, traditional databases) to modern cloud data platforms, ensuring scalability and performance. Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies, including HIPAA and SOC report evaluations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define requirements, validate solutions, and drive project execution. Monitor and optimize cloud data solutions, establishing performance assessments and action plans. Document cloud data engineering strategies and best practices and provide technical leadership in system design and delivery. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years in designing and developing cloud-based data pipelines and architectures. Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, Informatica (IICS), and orchestration tools like Airflow. Strong understanding of decentralized data architectures (e.g., Data Mesh) and experience handling sensitive healthcare data in compliance with HIPAA.
