Job Summary Facilities Information Services supports multiple Facilities divisions including Campus & Medical Center Facilities Management, Planning Design Construction, Real Estate Services, Utilities and Energy Management, and FM Operations along with many other customers/departments around the campus. FIS is seeking a full-time temporary position to join our Geospatial team as a
STEPS
Systems Technician. This position will be reporting under the Technical Project Specialist I and will serve in a variety of technical roles supporting the different areas of the FIS team.
The primary tasks of this role would focus on:
Maintenance of printable maps, custom web apps, Field Map environments, Survey123 forms; assist with research and design for innovative customer solutions
Esri Site License Administration support
Support with UGIS database updates
Additional tasks will span many different skill sets including but not limited to:
Data collection and entry using the appropriate software for the task
Space management support using data processing software
Key drawing processing using AutoDesk, ArcGIS, and other tools
Lean Processes using Toyota Production System concepts
Technical training material creation using varied applications
Scripting and automation
Database querying and editing using enterprise spatial databases
Support Facilities Library operations
Supporting other departmental projects needs as required
The position will work 37.5 to 40 hours per week. The position will need to maintain availability during pre-scheduled times to support the operations of the area. The position will support projects to meet department deadlines.
