Overview Garces, Grabler, & LeBrocq, P.C., an award-winning and established plaintiff law firm with twelve offices, seeks an experienced NJ Licensed Personal Injury attorney with five or more years of experience. The Personal Injury attorney will focus on a variety of personal injury cases, including auto, motorcycle, truck, and slip-and-fall accidents. The attorney will advocate for applicants and claimants and work with paralegals and legal assistants to diligently pursue client interests from intake to verdict or settlement. The ideal candidate is an experienced trial attorney who is compassionate, self-motivated, and committed to representing clients and the Firm at a high level.

Responsibilities

Communicate with clients to understand legal needs and provide advice.

Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.

Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for each case.

Take, review, and administer full depositions and oral hearings of witnesses and experts.

Prepare all documents required to file cases (150 caseload).

Work closely with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare a comprehensive brief for trial.

Maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences based on case requirements.

Schedule and administer full depositions of cases, witnesses, and experts.

Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for each client in each case.

Supervise two paralegals.

Qualifications

Must have 5 years of plaintiff’s personal injury experience.

Must be licensed in New Jersey.

Proficiency in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and resolving property damage claims.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; experience with Trials.

Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.

Demonstrated teamwork, confidentiality, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Experience with Case Management systems (e.g., Smart Advocate) and Document Management systems.

Tenacity, drive, and compassion; high quality work with minimal supervision.

Willingness to travel to court.

Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.

Hybrid work flexibility.

Compensation $130,000 - $160,000 per year, DOE

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to lift up to 20-25 lbs.

Sit for prolonged periods (7-8 hours).

Use standard office equipment (computers, printers, phones, copiers).

Manual dexterity.
