Whitman-Hanson Regional High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced coach to lead our boys varsity lacrosse program. We are committed to developing student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom, emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and conduct practices and games for the varsity boys lacrosse team Develop game strategies and prepare players for competitive play Mentor student-athletes in skill development, teamwork, and character building Communicate effectively with players, parents, and athletic administration Ensure compliance with MIAA and league rules and regulations Maintain equipment and coordinate team logistics Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes academic achievement alongside athletic excellence Qualifications
Previous lacrosse coaching experience preferred (high school, college, or club level) Strong knowledge of lacrosse rules, strategies, and fundamentals Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Background check and completion of required coaching education courses Teaching certification preferred but not required What We Offer
