Research Associate for Next Generation Batteries, Kalra Lab
Prof. Vibha Kalra's research group at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY, USA) is seeking applicants for a research associate position on "Next Generation Batteries". The project(s) will involve material development for next generation batteries, advanced electrochemical, spectroscopic, and microscopic characterizations, including in-situ / in-operando. Prior experience in solid state synthesis/electrolytes, and Li-ion cathodes is a plus.
Responsibilities
Design hypothesis-driven research projects and carry out the proposed work in a collaborative environment.
Write and contribute to journal articles and present at academic and professional conferences.
Collaboratively mentor postdocs and students with the PI.
Develop and assist with research proposals.
Help advance the strategic vision of Kalra Lab.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or related field.
Strong background in batteries.
Experience with different characterization techniques.
Proven record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Experience with assisting in or writing proposals is a plus.
Pay and How to Apply The range for this position is $49,100 - $94,700 annually.
