Overview

The Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute at Princeton University invites applications for new faculty positions in Bioengineering at the Assistant Professor rank. We welcome applications from all areas of experimental and theoretical/computational bioengineering, with particular encouragement for work in Device Bioengineering and/or Computational Bioengineering.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Quantitative Biology or related disciplines, and have a demonstrated record of excellence and leadership in research, commensurate with career stage. Faculty hired may be jointly appointed with another home department or Institute, as determined through the application review process. The institute aims to build an ecosystem of excellence with a commitment to teaching and service.

Responsibilities

Engage in innovative research in bioengineering with potential collaborations across Princeton’s engineering and biology units.

Contribute to teaching and service within a growing Bioengineering program and institute structure.

Develop and sustain an externally funded research program.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Quantitative Biology or related disciplines.

A demonstrated record of research excellence and leadership appropriate to career stage.

A background that complements existing strengths and helps expand Princeton’s Bioengineering program.
