About the Role A well-established law firm is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join its Fort Lauderdale office. In this role, you will support attorneys by managing complex medical malpractice cases from start to finish. We are looking for someone with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and organize client documents, including electronic data; identify and collect relevant case documents
Conduct litigation, criminal, and civil background checks; obtain and authenticate records
Prepare and produce documents, including Bates labeling and redaction for privileged information
Summarize medical records, bills, and create detailed medical chronologies and bill summaries
Prepare for trial—manage exhibits, evidentiary matters, witness lists, subpoenas, and assist attorneys during trial
Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
Coordinate with and manage retained expert witnesses, including selection and retention
Review and process vendor invoices accurately and on time
Conduct online research and utilize the firm’s electronic resources efficiently
Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service focus and responsiveness
Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments and deadlines
Professional demeanor and ability to work under pressure
Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to high-quality work
Proficient in basic PC skills and office equipment operation
