is seeking a

Behavioral Support Crisis Intervention Specialist

to work with unaccompanied minors in the

Long Term Foster Care program . The role involves helping youth achieve behavioral goals and address challenges. The Specialist will collaborate with case management and clinical teams to develop individualized behavior plans that address the youth's strengths and challenges.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain youth’s behavioral plans in collaboration with the youth, case manager, clinician, and foster parent.

Monitor safety and well-being through regular contacts and provide necessary services.

Assist program staff in delivering stabilization and holistic services to UC youth.

Provide social and behavioral skills support to UC youth.

Create workshops to address social and behavioral needs.

Conduct visits to foster homes and schools.

Provide crisis intervention as needed.

Participate in case staffing, team meetings, and supervision sessions.

Implement evidence-based models with foster parents, discharge resources, and youth.

Write and upload progress notes into the Electronic Health Record and UC Portal.

Document Child Level Events when applicable.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

Experience supporting children and families in clinical and community settings.

Expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis response, and emotional regulation techniques.

Adept at delivering culturally competent, family-centered services during times of acute need.

Strong knowledge of child development, mental health challenges, and family systems.

Oral and written fluency in Spanish is required.
