Act 120 Certified (*) Police Officers

Police officers are responsible for protecting life and property, maintaining peace and order, engaging with the community, enforcing laws and university policies, conducting investigations, and other duties. The role involves preventing illegal or unsafe activities through patrol, education, inspection, and enforcement, as well as apprehending and prosecuting violators. Qualifications:
Skills to promote public respect through courteous and ethical service Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, students, and external agencies Effective, honest, and credible court testimony Excellent customer service, communication, analytical, judgment, ethical, and organizational skills Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds Respect for constitutional rights and adherence to laws and policies The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of relevant experience. Candidates must have or be able to obtain

through the Pennsylvania MPOETC, either currently certified, enrolled in a police academy, or able to obtain certification during the hiring process. Preferred knowledge includes the use of technology, software, surveillance equipment, social media, and communication tools in investigations. Requirements:
Successful background check BPAD scenario evaluation U.S. citizenship Minimum age of 21 Fingerprint background check Completion of MPOETC requirements if not certified PA State Police Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Check Valid driver's license and vehicle records check Credit history check Please include a cover letter and resume with your application. Starting salary is $65,395.20 annually, with potential increases based on service and contract terms, valid until June 30, 2028. Learn More:
