Our Lady of the Lakes Parish is a two-site Catholic community in Northern Lake County who is looking for a Music Minister who is a skilled organist or pianist to lead our St. Bede Church (Ingleside) parishioners during our weekend masses. Our Saturday mass is at 5:30 pm and Sunday masses are at 8:00 am and 11:00 am. The Minister will have the support of our Music Director and parish staff to plan the music liturgies. Requirements:
• Experience leading a congregation in song utilizing either an organ or piano. • Availability to work weekends and evenings as needed. • Previous experience participating in parish music ministry. • Practicing Catholic with understanding and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values. • Knowledgeable and comfortable with Church liturgical music in all forms and styles for the congregation, choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists. • Thorough understanding of the musical, liturgical, and pastoral judgments which must be made in selecting music for liturgy; ability to communicate and prioritize the role of music in the liturgies Special Directions: Internal Candidates (existing employees) – Please complete the subject field of your email with the following: “Internal Candidate – Job Title – Full name” External Candidates - Please complete the subject field of your email with the following: “Job Title – Full name”
