Job Summary
MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking an experienced
Engine Technician
to perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on diesel engines and auxiliary systems. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual who is comfortable executing tasks independently after receiving work scope instructions. This role is based in the workshop and involves using specialized tools while adhering to OEM specifications and company quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Perform engine and system repairs or maintenance according to work instructions and manufacturer specifications Support workshop operations, including prepping tools, materials, and consumables Use workshop tools such as valve seat grinders, honing machines, and surface grinders Assist with diesel engine troubleshooting under supervision Provide basic condition reports and complete work documentation Follow safety guidelines and ISO quality standards Maintain communication with supervisors and team members throughout job execution Respect team dynamics and contribute to a productive work environment Required Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of engine and hydraulic components, auxiliary systems, and mechanical systems Proficient in using measuring tools and workshop equipment (grinders, testers, inspection tools) Basic understanding of piping and valve systems for water, fuel, and oil Familiar with computers and software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to interpret technical manuals and follow detailed instructions Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) Responsible, dependable, and detail-oriented Willingness to work in variable environments and take on physical challenges Education & Experience
High School Diploma Mechanical certificate from a trade school, military training, or associate degree in a related field 2-4 years of experience
in a similar role or mechanical field Work Environment & Physical Demands
