Postdoctoral Scholar of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies The Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar. The Postdoctoral Scholar will be appointed to work with the investigators currently leading the Mellon Foundation-funded Sawyer Seminar series “Birthing the nation: Gender, sex, and reproduction in ethnonationalist imaginaries.” Responsibilities
Organizing scholarly events related to the seminar series. Working on an edited collection or a special issue related to the seminar series. Providing teaching support to the investigators where appropriate. Assisting in administering the grant. Qualifications
A proven track record of high quality research in the critical investigation of race, gender, sex, and sexuality in discourse and society, in an empirical field related to the topic of the seminar series. A high level of interest in and capacity to articulate the principles of the “Birthing the Nation” project. Evidence of a high level of administrative competence and a track record in seeing projects through to their conclusion. A Ph.D. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (or a related field) is required by the appointment date. Appointment Details
