Vista Defense Technologies, LLC (VDT), is a Government Consulting and Contracting firm supporting missions throughout the world. VDT is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our team. The Help Desk Technician’s role is to support the IT Team’s ongoing mission at Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) in Falls Church, VA.
What You’ll Do:
Provide local Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 on-site support activities as necessary and elevate to the Enterprise for Tier 4 support as necessary using the Global Service Center (GSC). Provide local End User Device (EUD) support including, hardware deployment/replacements, peripheral installs, preventative maintenance, map printers, driver installs Image local EUDs using SCCM Operating System deployments using the appropriate task sequence wipe and load or in-place windows operating system upgrades, per the Defense Health Agency Windows Lifecycle Ensure compliance of local EUDs to DHA STIG baselines and coordinate with the Information Systems Security Office for configuration changes Ensure adherence to the DHA SCCM maintenance windows and alignment to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) and zero-day vulnerability fixes. Provide support for manual software installation, printer installs and mapping Ensure deployment of Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) tools Process DD2875 System Authorization Access Request (SAARs) for network access as part of the Virtual Check-In Process (VCIP) for all Military, Civilian, and Contractors. Establish and sustain effective Help Desk operations to identify problems, request information, and check status of information technology trouble tickets. What You Bring:
2+ years of experience with Help Desk Support Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills. Associate’s degree or significant relevant experience in excess of 4 years required. CompTIA Security+ What We Offer:
