Full-Time Shift : Nights - Third Shift - 11:00pm - 7:30am - every other weekend and every other holiday. Flexible schedule. The community you’ll be caring for:

Responsible for supervising the daily functions and activities within the environmental services (EVS) department. This position ensures standards of cleanliness are met for the hospital and adjacent facilities. Tasks include promoting teamwork to ensure work is completed, maintaining an efficient and safe working environment, and supervising EVS staff. This position also assumes responsibility for the operation of the EVS department during day, evening, or night shifts. The value you’ll bring to the team: Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition Able to communicate in English Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Minimum of three (3) years hospital housekeeping or other building maintenance experience Minimum of one (1) year supervisor experience Ability to plan, organize, direct, and control Knowledge of all phases of healthcare cleaning Ability to work with all levels of staff and customers Ability to manage expenses and work within a budgeting process Ability to conduct meetings and training sessions Knowledge of Infection Prevention Practices Knowledge of safe chemical usage Safety issues related to healthcare Excellent customer and employee relations skills Flexibility in scheduling of hours, including the requirement to work overtime, weekends, and holidays Good oral communication skills Excellent organization and people skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with others, using tact, diplomacy, and discretion Exceptional customer service skills; ability to diplomatically handle stressful situations Ability to articulate comprehensive knowledge of general and specialized practices and both performs and instructs others The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed: REQUIRED: 1+ technical experience PREFERRED: Certified Healthcare Environmental Service Professional (CHESP) High School Grad or Equivalent
