ABM Industries is hiring a
Safety Coordinator
to lead safety efforts for Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) installation in a semiconductor facility. The role develops and enforces safety policies, coordinates with project teams, and ensures regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain site‑specific safety plans and procedures Lead daily safety briefings, orientations, and training sessions for crews and subcontractors Conduct regular audits, inspections, and hazard assessments across AMHS install areas Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety standards Maintain accurate records of safety activities, permits, and certifications Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and client safety teams to resolve safety issues Monitor and enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices Track and report safety performance metrics to leadership Qualifications
3–5 years of safety coordination experience in construction or industrial environments OSHA 30 certification required; CSP, CHST, or other safety credentials preferred Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments highly desirable Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficient in safety management systems and Microsoft Office Ability to work in dynamic, high‑risk environments with attention to detail Must pass background check and drug screening Benefits
