Overview

Hours: APP patient coverage requires, regularly scheduled days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call obligations. Will include both inpatient and outpatient, hours will evolve as the service needs develop. Purpose Statement/Position Summary The Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare in our Cardiac Step-down unit CV Acute with both congenital heart disease and acquired conditions. This role prioritizes direct patient care while actively contributing to divisional quality improvement initiatives and the enhancement of clinical outcomes. Additionally, the APP supports orientation efforts and provides education to patients, families, and team members to promote understanding and engagement in care. Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience

Required: Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles, and ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient care acuity and tasks, collaborating with entire care team critically, comprehensively both verbally and in writing. Preferred: Pediatric clinical experience Education / Licensure / Certification

Required: Master\'s Degree from an accredited college or university PA - Physician Assistant State License or NP - Nurse Practitioner License DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration - preferred (will reapply once hired) American Heart Association BLS - Basic Life Support & PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NICCU only) (NP) Required: Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Acute-Care OR DUAL (preferred) Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Primary-care Family Nurse-Practitioner (Post-Master’s Pediatric Preferred) Neonatal Nurse-Practitioner (NICCU Only) Keywords

$143,998.00-$246,854.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
