Molecular Sales Specialist - St. Louis / Missouri Valley role at BD. The position will support Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Arkansas. BD is seeking a Molecular Sales Specialist who will be responsible for calling on large hospitals and laboratories. Products in this portfolio include BD MAX System, BD Viper LT system & BD Affirm. Primary call points include Value Analysis, Lab Managers, medical technicians, pathologists, and Materials Management within the Molecular and Anatomical pathology laboratory space. The Molecular Sales Specialist will work in partnership with the assigned Account Executive (AE) to develop and implement regional and strategic account sales plans involving multiple partners and buyers in the laboratory adoption of the designated product portfolio. The associate will apply the entire BD (POD) selling team consisting of the AE, Molecular Application Specialist (MAS), and Field Service Engineers (FSE). Primary Responsibilities

Achieve annual sales budget and profit targets for the territory/region. Communicate BD’s long term strategic direction to the customer and demonstrate the value proposition of the Diagnostic product portfolio to meet customer needs. Become proficient in molecular applications and serve as a molecular technical and capital equipment authority to drive sales of BD’s complete molecular portfolio. Develop and implement regional and strategic account sales plans involving multiple partners and buyers in hospital/laboratory adoption of designated products and platforms. Call on prospective customers, build demand, communicate medical, clinical, and patient outcome benefits, deliver product information and demonstrations, and prepare economic models/proposals and quotes within company guidelines. Develop and implement sales and marketing plans, including customer profiling, targeting, and call schedules to achieve sales objectives. Collaborate with BD personnel as part of the POD structure to achieve regional objectives and share successful tactics and process improvements. Work with key support staff and technical teams to develop account evaluation plans and update colleagues regularly. Generate leads and sales by participating in state, regional, and national meetings as advised by Sales Management. Participate on cross-functional product launch teams and coordinate with IDS sales team members and Marketing Product Managers to gather standard methodology and data. Lead administrative duties: manage expenses to budget, timely call reporting, funnel and competitive data entries, use of company assets, and adherence to OHSA and Universal Lab precautions as applicable and per BD policy. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required 3+ years of sales experience required Molecular or laboratory experience preferred Additional Information

BD prioritizes on-site collaboration; typically requires a minimum of 4 days in-office per week. Remote or field-based arrangements vary by role and will be indicated in the posting.
