Job Overview The University of Cincinnati College of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateralcandidates for a full-time, open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in tax law withan expected start date of August 15, 2026. Ideal candidates will be able to teach courses infederal income tax, corporate tax, and tax policy. Candidates must possess a J.D. orequivalent degree and excellent academic credentials and have demonstrated potential foroutstanding teaching and scholarship. We are interested in applicants with a wide varietyof professional and academic experiences and backgrounds.

Essential Functions

Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.

Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.

Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.

Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework.

Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.

Serve on graduate committees, supervise laboratories (where appropriate), independent study activities, and off-campus learning.

Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.

Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty.

Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Education

Candidates must possess a J.D. or equivalent degree

Required Experience

Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research evidenced by strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates for a tenured appointment should demonstrate intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential significant contributions to the department, University of Cincinnati, and wider scholarly community.
