is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinician with a passion for academics to actively participate in the division\'s activities at the Assistant Professor level. We are an academic Division committed to excellence in patient care, education and research. Our faculty members include 14 physician-scientists or physician-educators and 6 Ph.D. scientists. The ID Division is an important part of a very large infectious disease research community at UTMB, which includes investigators in multiple Departments, Centers, and Institutes. Our division works closely with the Center for Tropical Diseases, Institute for Human Infection and Immunity, Center for Global Health Education, and the Departments of Pathology and of Microbiology and Immunology. Position

Assistant Professor – Infectious Diseases

will provide ID inpatient consultation coverage at the Clear Lake Campus and will establish 1 to 2 weekly half-day outpatient clinic sessions at League City and/or Clear Lake campuses. This faculty member will also participate in multiple academic endeavors of the division including the supervision of students, residents and/or fellows in the inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic. Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree. Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Program and Infectious Disease Fellowship program. Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. A strong commitment to patient care and academic medicine with demonstrated ability to mentor trainees. U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License. Income Package
