Overview
Assistant Golf Coach at University of California, Riverside (UCR) for NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Golf programs. The assistant coach reports to the Director of the UCR Golf program and assists with recruiting, student-athlete welfare and skill development, statistics analysis, practice and game day preparation and coaching, scheduling, budget management, fundraising and public relations, and adherence to NCAA, Big West, and University rules. The full salary range is $44,800.00 - $73,200.00 annually. Salary offers are based on education, licensure/certifications, experience, and other needs. Applicants must have current work authorization; UCR cannot sponsor employment visas for staff. As a University employee, you must comply with University policies and applicable agreements. Federal, state, or local directives may impose additional requirements. Responsibilities
Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes for NCAA Division I men’s and women’s golf. Foster and support student-athlete welfare and skill development. Analyze statistics and prepare players for practice and game days; provide coaching during practices and competitions. Handle scheduling, budget management, fundraising, and public relations activities related to the golf program. Ensure adherence to NCAA, Big West, and University rules; communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and boosters; interact with department personnel and the University community. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training with a college-level program. Experience 2 - 4 years of related experience; minimum of 2 years of collegiate coaching or comparable experience. Qualifications
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; effective problem solving and written/spoken communication. Specialized knowledge of golf as a team sport and basic coaching principles. Current knowledge of applicableRules and standards of the NCAA/NAIA and conference guidelines; commitment to maintaining compliance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience coaching golf at the D1/D2 NCAA level. Additional Information
