As a
Battery Test Technician
you are responsible for performing tests on batteries to ensure they meet performance standards and requirements. The Battery Test Technician will perform tasks in conditioning and testing Amprius Technologies' proprietary silicon anode Li-Ion cells. This is a TEMP role with an opportunity to be converted to Regular Hire with Benefits. Job Responsibilities
Perform routine tests on Amprius batteries to evaluate performance, safety, and quality. Utilize tools/equipment such as pneumatic cutter, electric drill, degas machine, and formation machine. Perform PC Board Soldering per specifications and instructions Load cells into test fixtures, set-up and execute electrical cell tests. Measure cells using mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper Perform visual inspections to identify and evaluate potential defects. Identify and escalate failures or unexpected behaviors to the Engineering Team within defined response time. Monitor and maintain testing equipment and calibrate as needed. Participate in troubleshooting and identifying causes with Engineers and Technicians. Accurate documentation of the data. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives towards better efficiency and safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow safety guidelines for handling battery components. Qualifications
Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Comfortable performing manual tasks requiring precision and manual dexterity. Basic understanding of electrical connections and testing software. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving. Follow technical instructions for test procedures precisely and document results accurately. Motivated to learn new techniques and refine existing techniques. Autonomous, personable, positive and a good teammate. Organized, detail oriented, and clear written and verbal communication skills. Benefits
