Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant for the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science, within the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

Provides independent, high-level administrative, project, and personnel recruitment support for the Center and, on occasion, for the IFH Data Core.

Provides ongoing support for staff transitions.

Maintains accurate timekeeping records for hourly employees and Federal Work Study Program students.

Ensures compliance with institutional guidelines and policies.

Oversees the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science's physical office space, assuring that the work environment and space is managed appropriately and any issues related to the facilities are addressed in a timely way.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience in an administrative function or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping, and/or report writing principles and practices.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be detail oriented.

Ability to comfortably engage with faculty, staff and senior leaders within the University as well as state officials and policymakers in furtherance of daily responsibilities.

Excellent writing, problem solving, organization, and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft software.

Ability to be a self-starter who works independently.

Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced interdisciplinary environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
