Pyramid Healthcare in collaboration with October Road CASP is actively seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our esteemed team in Asheville, NC!
Compensation:
$48,000 - $57,000 based on licensure and experience
Requirements:
LCAS(A) or Full CADC
Schedule:
Full Time with Benefits
Summary
The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for facilitating all clinical services for the program, adhering to facility standards and the clinical philosophy of the program.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Evaluate the behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients and their family members, regularly consulting with the treatment team to develop and monitor progress toward treatment goals in accordance with clinical policy and accreditation guidelines. Facilitate all clinical services for clients, including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and communication with referral sources/outpatient providers as applicable. Maintain clinical records for clients, ensuring appropriate documentation of clinical services and client program engagement in ECR in alignment with program policy. Provide timely documentation and support for utilization review and actively participate in the UR process as outlined in program policy. Contribute to the development of aftercare plans and participate in the outcome data process as applicable. Engage in program-specific curriculum development, literature review, and training consistent with the clinical philosophy. Participate in the on-call rotation as directed by the supervisor and in accordance with program policy. Conduct Level of Care Assessments as required. Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients, including crisis intervention. Complete all required training. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling. Master’s level licensure: Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Professional Counseling. Chemical Dependency programs may also accept: High School Diploma/GED, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree with a fully licensed CADC. Preferred experience in the mental health/trauma, eating disorder, and substance use domains.
