Essential Functions
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory.
Adapt to various working environments and make decisions based on industry best practices.
Understand materials specific to various work environments for sight-specific installations.
Proficient in reading project drawings, submittals, and layout.
Develop, build, and maintain exceptional customer relationships through dedication and efficiency.
Assist management and customers with design changes to the original scope of work.
Work with management to estimate field change order work.
Track and document change orders and time & material work.
Maintain up-to-date as-built drawings and assist CAD with design changes.
Maintain a flexible approach to onsite design changes.
Skills
Read color-coded wire identifications and understand drawings and schematics.
Bend conduit by hand and use power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
Dig trenches with hand tools or power equipment; operate trenchers, backhoes, and lifts safely.
Follow safe work procedures per company policy.
Operate multiple tools and equipment, read maps and manuals, and work from various access points.
Work on energized circuits with management approval as outlined in Health and Safety Program.
Training
Complete Equipment Training
Complete OSHA 30
Complete all Safety Certifications
Qualifications
At least 18 years or older
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Flexible to work customer-directed schedule when needed
Strong safety record
Detail and goal oriented; troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with electrical systems from 120/240 single phase through 480V three phase
Data, fire alarm, and control familiarity are a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to adapt to various situations
Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn and adapt to customer communication methods
Positive, self-motivated, team player with a commitment to growth
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Candidates must be able to travel within a 60 mile radius of Naples, FL
Working / Environment / Physical Demands Requires working in all elements depending on location and season. Must be able to use construction site facilities and carry personal tools (approx. 30 lbs.). Work from ladders of various types and heights; transition into building areas; access all levels as required.
Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
Constantly moving feet; climb ladders; overhead work for full-day assignments
Secure tools and materials; communicate effectively on site
