Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships and promotes good public relationships as a representative of Licking County Government. Transports Licking County residents to and from various locations in Licking County and surrounding counties. Loads and unloads passengers on vehicles. Assists disabled passengers. Secures wheelchairs and scooters. Ensures safety measures are in place for transit buses; Ensures safety of passengers by use of appropriate on-board restraints Communicates to Transportation Supervisor any repairs and maintenance issues with buses immediately. Diffuses difficult situations and maintains order on-board vehicle. Reports to Dispatch Office immediately any accidents or incidents with passengers, buses, equipment, etc. Completes forms and reports as necessary. Ensures transit buses are properly fueled; ensures safe and clean vehicle condition at the start and end of each shift. Documents thoroughly the course of the day including odometer readings, times, and passenger information. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable PERRP safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.
Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training.
Brief Description
Summary
Transports Licking County residents to and from various locations in Licking County and surrounding counties. Provides safe, reliable and efficient public transportation. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws pertaining to public transportation. Identifies areas of improvement and recommends changes to Transportation Supervisor.
Job Prerequisites
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age Service area knowledge preferred. Valid Ohio Driver's License

Salary: PART-TIME $18.50 per hour (non-negotiable, per union contract)
FULL-TIME $20.00 per hour (non-negotiable, per union contract)
