The Protective Security Officer (PSO) Supervisor is a position within the security and protective service field of work. The Protective Security Officer Supervisor is responsible for possessing and maintaining the appropriate certifications and training for areas to include First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray, and Firearms. Responsible for delivery of services as described in the applicable Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS). The pay range for this position is $84,000-$86,000/year. This position comes with a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 3% match, paid time off (PTO), company-paid holidays, and an annual performance bonus. This position will be posted for 5 days or until filled. Essential Duties and Responsibilities PSOswillperformavarietyofsecurity-relatedduties,dependingontypeofpostsassignedandmust be thoroughly familiar with Post Orders and Officer’s Duty Book of assigned posts. Under no circumstance will any PSO neglect his/her duties to familiarize themselves with the PostOrders. PSOs will monitor and observe facility occupants and visitors for compliance withFederal Management Regulations, Facility Management, (41 CFR 102-74) and facility’s posted rules and regulations. PSOs shall identify, report, delay, or detain persons who violate rules and regulations, as appropriate and in accordance with PostOrders. PSOs shall report incidents in accordance with established procedures Off-going PSOs shall provide a summary to on-coming PSOs of recent, continuing, or anticipated events and occurrences for assigned post. PSOs shall be responsible for maintaining logs, reports, and files of incidents and occurrences encountered during tour of duty. PSOs will perform duties in a professional manner, responsible for observing surrounding environment, and, when necessary, questioning those persons whose activities arousesuspicion. PSOs shallbe knowledgeable oflocationand useof: first aid kits, fire extinguishers, AEDs, fire alarms,emergency exits, and duress alarms(if any) and ready,willing, and able to useas necessary and required by PostOrders. PSOs shallbe familiar with each tenant Agency and locationwithin facility, restrooms, elevators, entrances and exits, retail spaces, and parking areas, and shall provide that information upon inquiry. PSO shall not providemorethan twelve (12)hoursofcombinedserviceon anyone or multiplecontractsadministeredbyFPS,inany twenty-four(24)hourperiod.Exceptiontorule: There mustbean eight-hour non-duty period betweenworkperiods or granted an exception byCOR. PSOs shall direct traffic (vehicular and pedestrian), control parking, issuetraffic courtesy violation notices, and examine surroundings for suspicious vehicles or persons, when required by Post Orders or direction ofCO PSOs may identify, delay, and detain suspicious person(s), as necessary to maintain a level of security that is sufficient to ensure safety and protection of personnel, property, andresources. PSOsshallberesponsibleforreceivingandutilizingkeysandaccesscontroldevices(i.e.,“keycards,”lock combinations)requiredfor duty. PSOs shall consider keys and access control devices as sensitive assets and safeguard and secure as directed by PostOrders. Supervisory Responsibilities Yes Minimum Qualifications Must have a minimum of two (2) years of verifiable experience in civilian community law enforcement,
or
military service law enforcement,
or
commercial/industrial security force service. Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record Ability to pass a Federal background check U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance Must be 21 years of age Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Shareholder Preference Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses in all phases of employment.
