Adjunct - Public Health and Health Administration
The Husson University Healthcare Studies Program is seeking qualified candidates interested in teaching Introduction to Healthcare Studies, Medical Terminology, Public Health, and Healthcare Law and Ethics. Assignments may require teaching during the day, evening, or online classes as needed. Typical Duties
Adjunct Professor – Introduction to Healthcare Studies: Course typically taught online. Provides overview of U.S. healthcare, delivery system, policy issues, and financing. Population and public health approaches examined. Adjunct Professor – Medical Terminology: Course online. Gives comprehensive vocabulary of medical language by analyzing root forms, prefixes, suffixes of medical terms associated with different parts of body and physiological systems. Adjunct Professor – Public Health: Course taught both face-to-face and online. Introduces current field of public health in U.S., focusing on key areas of study and intervention and organizational structure of agencies involved in public health. Adjunct Professor – Healthcare Law and Ethics: Course taught face-to-face, with online option to be offered within next 18 months. Students learn major laws and regulations that impact delivery of healthcare and ethical principles that guide clinical practitioners and administrators in healthcare. Typical Qualifications
Doctoral or master’s degree in public health, health administration, health policy, or related field for Introduction to Healthcare Studies. Doctoral or master’s degree in a clinical health profession, public health, medical education, or closely related field for Medical Terminology and Public Health. Doctoral or master’s degree in public health, health administration, health policy, ethics, or a related field for Healthcare Law and Ethics.
