Role Overview

Sr. Production Artist at Warner Bros. Discovery. Responsibilities

Receive and confirm art files for print and digital publishing of original material and collected editions. Adjust art and lettering to match artist, medium, and style; perform quality checks for color space, missing fonts, bleed settings, resolution, and consistency. Create dummy book layouts for projects; apply necessary layout edits and move approved projects to content execution. Design cover layouts, editorial, and interior book pages for weekly print and digital periodicals following DC style guides. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to file formats, color profiles, and format compatibility; restore art and color quality as needed. Under guidance, produce limited‑edition print products, NFT variants, digital trading cards, and collectible assets. Assist with upload of periodicals, collected editions, OGNs, and backlist reprints for approval to print and digital publish. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience

Work Experience

At least five (5) years of experience in art/digital art, prepress, or production (print and/or digital) in a publishing environment. Education & Training

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Related degree from an accredited art school preferred. Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders. Team orientation and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills; meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and handling of confidential material. Technical troubleshooting and creative problem‑solving skills. Portfolio review required for strong drawing skills. Production knowledge for print and digital products; deep understanding of Adobe color space management and CMYK print processes preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) required. Proficiency with Wacom equipment preferred. Familiarity with comic book art development (pencils, inks, coloring, lettering) preferred. Understanding of comic book reading experience for digital format preferred. Other Requirements
