Georgetown University’s 2nd campus, located at 37th & O Street NW Washington, DC 20057, seeks an experienced Landscape Laborer to maintain the university’s grounds.
Job Overview As part of the Facilities Management department, you will perform landscape labor tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, weed removal, irrigation, mulching, and seed/sod installation. Your work will support the central Landscape Maintenance Group and will include preventive and emergency maintenance of lawns, flower beds, and campus parking areas.
Responsibilities
Execute general landscape labor duties following seasonal schedules and service requests.
Use standard tools, equipment, and safety practices when mowing, trimming, edging, and irrigating lawn areas.
Assist in seed/sod laying, mulching, and pesticide application as directed by the Landscape Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior campus spaces.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two years’ experience in general or landscape labor work.
Valid driver’s permit from Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia required.
Strong work ethic, teamwork, and ability to work independently.
Location & Work Mode On‑Campus – Position is assigned to the central Landscape Maintenance Group on the Georgetown University campus.
