The Department of English at Kingsborough Community College is seeking to hire adjunct faculty at various ranks (Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) to teach First-Year Composition and ESL courses starting in Fall 2025. Preference will be given to candidates with strong credentials and teaching experience in both areas. Responsibilities
Perform teaching, research, and guidance duties in your area of expertise. Share responsibilities for committee and department assignments, including administrative, supervisory, and other functions. Qualifications
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:
Earned doctorate in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or ESL. Ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities. For Adjunct Lecturer:
Bachelor's degree in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or ESL. Ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities. Compensation
Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 - $118.45 per hour Adjunct Professor: $112.50 - $130.49 per hour Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
