We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and technically adept Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to support business development efforts focused on federal government contracts in the areas of facilities services, operations and maintenance, and healthcare environmental cleaning services. You will need to reside in the area of Ellsworth AFB, Little Rock AFB, Denver, CO or Colorado Springs area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of continuous construction safety experience in supervising or managing safety programs, processes, and conducting hazard analyses and developing controls. The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for implementing and overseeing safety and health programs on Forefront Government Division projects. This position ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 standards, OSHA requirements, and contract-specific safety requirements. Key Responsibilities

Ensure all site activities adhere to EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and contract-specific safety requirements. Monitor, inspect, and enforce safety procedures and corrective actions to eliminate hazards. Serve as the primary on-site contact for safety-related matters with government officials and inspectors. Program Implementation

Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Safety & Health Plan (SSHP). Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors. Conduct hazard analyses, accident investigations, and root-cause analyses. Monitoring & Reporting

Maintain all safety documentation, records, and reports in compliance with government contracts. Track safety performance metrics, near misses, and corrective actions. Submit required reports to Forefront leadership and government representatives in a timely manner. Team Leadership & Training

Provide safety guidance, coaching, and training to employees and subcontractors. Promote a culture of accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement. Lead emergency response and preparedness activities on site. Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of continuous construction safety experience in supervising or managing safety programs, processes, and conducting hazard analyses and developing controls. Completion of the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Course. Certificates demonstrating a minimum of eight (8) hours of formal safety and health training annually over the last five years. Current certification in First Aid and CPR. Experience working under USACE EM 385-1-1 requirements (preferred). Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, federal contracting safety requirements, and risk management practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Skills & Competencies
