Overview
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Mammo Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
Pay Base pay range: $40.99/hr - $62.60/hr
Responsibilities
Prepare equipment for imaging tests in accordance with established standards, safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results; perform quality assurance checks.
Explain procedures to patients, position them correctly, monitor and document physiological conditions prior to and during the procedure.
Operate imaging equipment to perform mammography screening/diagnostic protocols based on physicians’ orders and in accordance with professional imaging standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain records and documentation as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, with two years of related work experience. Some designated positions may require stereotactic breast biopsy coursework or on-the-job training.
A minimum of fifteen continuing education credit hours in a 36-month period specific to mammography.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience meeting licensure/certification requirements.
Licensure/Certification
ARRT (M) (R)
Current State of Washington licensure as a Radiology Technologist – Certified
Washington Society of Radiological Technologist (WSRT) recommended
Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
Please note: This location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire, as per facility compliance requirements.
