The School of Physics at Georgia Tech invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Artificial Intelligence techniques to answer fundamental questions about our Universe. The successful candidate will demonstrate an exceptional commitment to teaching and mentoring students. Responsibilities

Work on AI techniques to address theoretical calculations, data analysis, and experiment design in physics. For theory-focused projects, apply group theory, quantum field theory (QFT), or gravity concepts with relevant physics software and HPC tools. For statistical-inference-focused or experiment-design-focused projects, apply statistics and/or particle physics knowledge to analyze high-dimensional data and infer theory parameters, including uncertainty quantification. Collaborate with computer scientists, astrophysicists, gravitational/black hole physicists, particle physicists, and statisticians at Georgia Tech, Berkeley National Lab, CERN, and worldwide. The postdoctoral fellow may work within an experiment collaboration. The role includes potential alignment with one of several research themes in AI techniques for physics. Details: see profaishikghosh.github.io. For theory-focused projects: strong background in group theory, QFT, or gravity; familiarity with physics software. For statistical-inference-focused or experiment-design-focused projects: strong background in statistics and/or particle physics. Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in fundamental physics or a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, astrophysics, or computer science). Essential Skills And Experience
