Research Associate II, Protein Analytics (Onsite in Quincy, MA) What You'll Be Doing
Developing, running, and troubleshooting antibody and protein purification using affinity and ion exchange chromatography Performing HPLC-based antibody characterization assays (i.e. SEC, HIC and CIC) and assessing antibody developability using techniques such as BVP ELISA, AC-SINS, DLS, and nanoDSF Sample handling, sample inventory tracking and assisting with automation integration into the department Concurrently execute multiple antibody discovery projects requiring wet lab activities, data analysis, report generation and preparation of deliverables Record and communicate experimental details, draft reports, and deliver data with a high level of integrity and ethics What You'll Bring to the Team
Bachelor\'s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or a Master\'s degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of biologics characterization, preferably in recombinant protein purification, assay development and protein characterization Direct experience with SDS-PAGE and protein quantification Ability to troubleshoot scientific processes Ability to work independently, but also collaborate and effectively communicate within and across departmental teams Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail oriented and able to operate in a fast-paced and growing environment Preferred Skills
Previous experience with AKTA, HPLC, Hamilton, Prometheus Panta, and/or Octet instruments preferred Industry experience strongly preferred Experience with ELISA and endotoxin assays About Twist Bioscience
