Responsibilities
Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly.
Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; help them connect with each other and the YMCA.
Convey information on aquatics programs and schedules and, as appropriate, refer students and parents to other programs.
Maintain records as required (e.g., attendance, progress reports).
Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
Complete related reports as necessary.
Organize and put away needed class equipment; report damaged equipment.
Attend all staff meetings and in-service training.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
Minimum 16 years of age
Staff are expected to become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid (these courses can be completed through the YMCA).
Staff will be expected to work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents, and colleagues, and be committed to high-quality programming.
Childcare benefits of more than $5000 are considered taxable income and will be processed accordingly. Limitations and restrictions apply to some programs.
Compensation: USD $17.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
