Responsibilities
Develop technical solutions to production issues.
Read, review, and practice demonstrated knowledge of controlled processes and procedures.
Lead investigations.
Identify technical risks.
Generate technical dispositions for non-conformant hardware.
Provide technical mentorship to a team of hardware engineers.
Serve as the primary technical interface to FBM management, systems engineering, quality, materials and process engineers, and Stakeholders for the PBCS Gas Generator.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in Mechanical design.
Experience with production/manufacturing of energetic materials.
Any combination of experience in engineering project management, supplier management, annual budget proposals, technical evaluations, tracking and development of cost/schedule.
Exposure to or participation with failure investigations, root cause analysis, and/or corrective action disposition.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Systems-level thinking.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills
Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience.
Experience mentoring early career engineers.
Experience with FBM processes and products.
Experience with aerospace manufacturing.
Experience as principal engineer delegate or project lead.
Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative.
Ability to mitigate risks to subsystem performance.
Experience with propulsion testing.
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
Compensation Annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
