Greiner Bio-One Americas Provide hands-on support in implementing and sustaining EHS programs, policies, and ISO certification requirements (14001, 45001, 50001). Act as a daily safety presence on the production floor; coach and support team members on safe work practices. Assist in the development, delivery, and documentation of safety, environmental, and energy-related training programs. Conduct floor-level audits and inspections; monitor corrective actions and improvement efforts. Support hazard assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis. Coordinate environmental compliance activities such as waste tracking and spill response. Maintain organized records, including training logs, permits, and ISO documentation. Support internal audits and regulatory reporting (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NC DEQ). Collaborate with operations, facilities, and maintenance teams on energy-saving and sustainability initiatives. Participate in emergency response planning, safety drills, and first aid/CPR readiness.Provide support during external audits and inspections.. Model clean, safe work practices and help maintain hygienic, orderly work areas.. Other duties as assigned.
Your challenge

Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. 2–5 years of relevant experience in safety and/or environmental roles preferably in a manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA regulations, and ISO standards (especially 14001, 45001, and 50001). Knowledge of job safety analysis, energy management, and hazardous materials handling. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to coach frontline employees and work cross-functionally. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret procedures, training materials, permits, and audit checklists. Experience with EHS software or document control systems is a plus. Flexible shift start times; weekend work is rare and limited to critical needs. Must consistently follow all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day) across various areas of the facility. Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds unassisted.
