A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICIAN As a Technician, you provide emergency restoration and disaster recovery services to clients. You are hands-on with water, fire, mold remediation, biohazard, demo, and construction projects, providing the know-how and muscle to not only get things done but done right. You are flexible and assist the team when needed on multiple service lines. You contribute to successful projects in various ways, such as loading or unloading materials/tools, setting up equipment for drying structures, doing vehicle maintenance, cleaning and preparing job sites, tarping roofs, or emergency board-ups.
You maintain all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols with a safe job site. You don't hesitate to help the team wherever and whenever you're needed, as you are willing to travel and are available for emergency/after-hours/weekend calls. While providing a positive experience to clients during their time of need, your hard work reassures them that First Onsite is the only restoration partner they'll ever need. You take pride in your daily work and are excited to be part of a team that supports your professional growth and development.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Basic computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook (Emails)
Basic ability to operate industry-specific tools and equipment
Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver's license required
Special Position Requirements
Ability to work in a busy, service-oriented team under stress to meet deadlines, handle competing priorities, and demanding service requirements
Willingness to work overtime, on weekends, and respond 24/7
Regular, reliable attendance
Ability to attend disaster sites and work near hazardous environments; travel may be required
