25-26 Home/Hospital Tutors - High School — Somerville Public Schools. Job Goal:
These positions will provide as needed educational services in a home or hospital when a student cannot attend school due to an anticipated long term absence. The home/hospital instruction allows the student to continue educational progress while unable to attend school. The tutor provides instruction necessary to enable the student to keep up in their courses and minimize educational loss during the period of home or hospital confinement. The tutor will coordinate instructional content, approach and student progress with the student\'s teachers at school. The school district will determine the number of instructional hours per day or per week based on the educational and medical needs of the individual student. Responsibilities
Provide home or hospital instruction as needed when a student is unable to attend school due to long-term absence. Coordinate instructional content, approach, and student progress with the student\'s teachers at SHS. Follow the schedule determined by the district for hours per day or per week based on the student\'s educational and medical needs. Assign instruction according to the needs of the SHS student population. Report to the School Principal and the School Counseling Department Chair at SHS. Terms of Employment
