Job Summary Assists cardiologists, interventional cardiologists and interventional radiologists with technical assistance and support. Recognizes normal and abnormal 12‑lead electrocardiograms and interprets recordings as they relate to heart disease such as bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias, heart block, chamber enlargement and myocardial infarction.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in radiological technology, nursing or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s).
Required
Master's Degree.
Preferred
Two years' experience in an electrophysiology lab.
Preferred
Licenses / Certifications
Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (CCI-RCES).
Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Required
International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification.
Preferred
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or State Radiologic Tech (RT) or CCI-RCES.

Essential Functions
Performs patient procedures, assists electrophysiologists with mapping, pacing, ablation, device implants and imaging procedures. Sets up rooms according to protocols.
Supports EP physicians in diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias. Works with anesthesia and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care. Collaborates to ensure accurate charges and coding.
Reviews special procedure requests and completes paperwork and archives exams.
Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
