Sales Specialist - Specialty Gas (Southeast Texas Area)

* Providing customers with essential engineering, technical support, training, safety, and service for all their Specialty Gas requirements.* Establishing a systematic process for continuous and accurate collection of market data, including customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.* Explaining products and services features, matching customers’ needs with the appropriate products.* Always looking for ways to learn and grow skills. Keeps current with industry technical knowledge.* Providing training at branch level to enhance sales and growth.* Timely completion and submission of sales-related paperwork, such as call reports and month-end reports.* Promptly responding to emails and phone calls.* Maintaining solid working relationships with Account Managers, District Managers, Area Vice Presidents, and other Specialists in Region.* Daily maintenance of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools to support business growth.* Undertaking special projects and other duties as necessary.* Ability to segment customers and prioritize those who deliver the highest value to Airgas.* Proven success using a consultative sales approach to provide multiple layers of value to customers, establishing a diverse mix of sales solutions and products.* Demonstrated ability to leverage deep knowledge of customer businesses, current macro- and micro-economic trends, industry trends, and potential new business opportunities.* Proficiency in a collaborative office platform (such as Google Suite) and CRM (such as Salesforce).* Working knowledge of SAP is a plus, and developing competency in SAP will be necessary.* Self-starter, self-motivated, and operates with a sense of urgency, with the ability to work and succeed independently.* Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.* Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, as well as hardgoods and related products; one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products; and a leading U.S. supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals.
