Lead and manage bar team to offer a world-class hospitality experience. Take ownership of the restaurant; ensure the restaurant operates beautifully, efficiently and profitably every shift and every day. Exemplify gracious hospitality and sincere respect in all interactions. Maintain open lines of communication and a positive work environment. Continue to be a student of our concept and the industry by seeking out opportunities to learn more and improve. Be a dedicated teacher committed to developing the hourly team. Lead Bar
— Service, develop, coach and consistently execute service standards. Be on the floor during peak service times to impact service and earn the confidence of the team by running smooth shifts. Exemplify professionalism and enlightened hospitality in all interactions and in difficult situations. Ensure consistent execution of steps of service using tools such as shopper reports and guest feedback. Performance and Talent Development
— Develop strong team relationships, communicate expectations, hold individuals accountable, provide feedback, actively recruit top talent, and execute consistent training for hourly employees. Seek self-improvement and educational opportunities. Ambassador of JAG Culture

— Understand and teach policies and procedures. Report major facility or operational emergencies to the GM. Maintain a detailed daily log, conduct regular service team meetings, and ensure a safe, clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Ensure compliance with all ABC laws, health standards, and federal and state laws; correct violations with urgency. Manage Financial Results
— Execute the restaurant plan to stay within budgets and maximize profits. Manage inventory and waste to meet cost targets. Demonstrate proficiency in cash management and ensure accurate check registers, cash outs, bank logs, inventory, and deposits. Manage service labor, scheduling and payroll. Proficiency with tools such as Compeat, OpenTable and POS systems. Seek GM support and training as needed. Requirements
Skills & Knowledge
Minimum of 3+ years of restaurant management experience and 5+ years of restaurant experience including mixology, bartending and classic cocktails. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead tasks independently or in a team environment as a team leader. Compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Extensive knowledge of upscale or fine dining service and sales skills. Ability to supervise, train and motivate multiple levels of employees; assess and evaluate performance fairly and consistently. Extensive knowledge of the food industry, restaurants and competitive markets. Extensive knowledge of revenue management and participation in developing short- and long-term financial and operational goals. Extensive knowledge of fine dining or upscale restaurant service and salesmanship. Abilities & Working Conditions
Position requires 100% standing or walking. Must be able to stand and move for up to 8 hours; maneuver between concurrent functions. Lift up to 15 lbs regularly; occasional lifting of trays weighing up to 30 lbs. Must have or develop grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and visual acuity; continuous talking and hearing in communication with guests and employees. Requires manual dexterity to operate equipment. Must be available to work nights, holidays and weekends.
