Job Summary

Job Summary

The Lawndale Elementary School District has a new position available for Special Ed Teacher - Mild/Moderate for the 2025-26 school year. The Special Education Teacher: Mild to Moderate (Spec Ed Teacher Mild/Mod) will provide instruction, services and support for students whose needs have been identified in an Individual Educational Program (IEP). Our Spec Ed Teacher Mild/Mod may support students through a Learning Center Environment or the Student Tailored Academic and Adaptive Readiness Program (STAAR). As a member of the school site staff, attends staff meetings, participates in committee work and school events as practicable, and assumes responsibility as a staff member with regard to assigned duties.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Must be attached to your Edjoin application - pdf format works best * Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Mild/Mod Disability Credential with Autism Authorization OR equivalent * Master's degree in Special Education and bilingual English/Spanish preferred. * Resume * Letter of Introduction * Copy of unofficial transcripts * 3 letters of recommendation (dated within the last 12 months, no supervisor required) * CBEST Test Results or equivalent

Copy of Transcript (Masters in Special Education (preferred)) Credential Copy (California Education Specialist - Mild/Mod with added Autism Authorization) English Learner Authorization (English Learner Authorization (CLAD/BCLAD)) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Reference (3 letters of recommendation (dated within the last 12 months, no supervisor required)) Resume Test Results/Materials (CBEST or equivalent )
