The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach with practice and game planning execution and will be required to attend practices, meetings, games, and team events. Candidates should understand and demonstrate tactical aspects of baseball and be able to lead drills and training sessions with the Head Coach. Assist in the player recruiting process through email communication, phone calls, and attending tournaments of high school prospective student athletes. Assist the Head Coach in organizing and implementing fundraising events. Provide positive feedback and constructive criticism to athletes to improve individual performance. Create a Christ-centered team community by focusing on athletes\' spiritual growth and maturity. Promote the ideals of Christian sportsmanship in all phases of conducting an intercollegiate athletic program reflective of Cairn University. Support the Head Coach by establishing mentoring relationships with student athletes. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree required. Prior playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; successful high school or club coaching experience will be considered. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Valid driver\'s license required. About Cairn University
