Description Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cafeteria Cook to join our hotel culinary team, preparing high-quality meals for hotel guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have culinary experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner items according to established recipes and portion standards Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health department regulations Assist with menu planning and daily specials Manage food inventory, including receiving deliveries and proper storage procedures Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely meal service Assist with catering requests and special dietary accommodations Maintain clean and organized work stations Follow proper food handling and storage procedures

Required Qualifications

2+ years cooking experience in commercial kitchen environment Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around hot equipment

Preferred Qualifications

Hotel or institutional cooking experience ServSafe Certification Experience with high-volume food preparation
